WHAT
ViZARTS is a Research and Development Collaboratorium where Researchers, Filmmakers and Techies explore and create new filmic experiences together, using state-of-the-art Virtual Production, Generative AI and Media- and Game Technologies. We research, experiment and produce short film scenes and demonstrations pushing tech for Final Pixel In-Camera results and to create Adaptive Real-Time Storytelling Experiences.
HOW
Researchers at the CREATE department at Aalborg University Copenhagen develop novel techniques and workflows together with Techies and Filmmakers from the industry. Workshop Crews (selected by application) then meet up at our workshops where we use the latest findings to exploit Generative AI and Virtual Production ICVFX Techniques to produce experimental Shots and Scenes.
WHY
The research and dissemination of the findings at the workshop are essential to create an eco-system to strengthen Danish Filmproduction in the future. And in order to create novel forms of filmmaking and storytelling, it is essential to acquire hands-on experiences on how Real-Time 3D Graphics, Virtual Production and AI media technologies can contribute to more efficient, creative and sustainable productions without increasing the budget.
WHAT
ViZARTS is an ‘Exploratorium’. We focus on exploring how film making and real-time technology can be combined to create new experiences, among them adaptive storytelling.
WHY
To create novel forms of storytelling, it is essential to acquire hands-on experiences on how real-time technologies can contribute to more effective and creative productions.
